Dave Relearns to Walk With State-of-the-Art Ekso Robot
Dave came to Swedish Hospital after having a in the balance center of his brain. Therapists used the with Dave to assist in balance retraining, weight shifting and eventually walking. It allows people to take more steps in a shorter period of time, increasing repetition, which is important for neuroplasticity after a stroke. The plan was to get him stronger, improve his balance and return him home. Through the assistance of the robot, Dave returned home able to walk with a device without any other physical assistance.
